Experiencing problems with Voicey? Here's how to get help:

When reporting issues, please include:

  • Your macOS version
  • Voicey version (found in the app menu)
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Any error messages you've seen

Please check existing issues and discussions before submitting to avoid duplicates.

Permissions & Spelling

If names, jargon, or app-specific words are transcribed incorrectly:

  • Open Settings → Spelling & Context and add terms to your vocabulary list
  • Enable Use text from the target app and grant Accessibility (same permission as auto-paste)
  • For apps like Cursor or other Electron apps with limited Accessibility text, enable on-device OCR and grant Screen Recording in System Settings
